Hello everyone, today I will introduce you to Second Life application. You can see my avatar above.
Second life is the three-dimensional virtual world where users, called residents, can pretend to be whomever, or whatever they want to be.This is an application you can be whoever you want, you can choose your character or you can create it. The platform principally features 3D-based user-generated content. It has its own currency and even if it's an online environment, its influence reaches into the real world the including a virtual economy that's dependent upon actual money. Second Life is an online world in which residents create virtual representations of themselves, called avatars, and interact with other avatars, places or objects.
But, how can we use this app? We know that virtual worlds are playing an increasingly important role in education, especially in language learning. Nearly all 3D virtual spaces are inherently social environments where language learners can meet others, either to informally practice a language or to participate in more formal classes.
