LMS: Edmodo

Hello everyone, I have come back with an another LMS revolution called Edmodo. I want to initiate with 'What is Edmodo?'.

What Is Edmodo?

Edmodo is a social network and also a classroom management tool which is exclusively prepared for tutor, stay in touch with tutee and most importantly parents. Thanks to Edmodo, teachers can create groups consist of their students, write them messages, create quizes and share the course files with students with a very strong security setting.

- It is suitable for all age levels who actively use the computer and the internet.

- It is free.

- You can access with any device via browser and mobile app.

What Can Be Done?

- You can share class folders and files.

- You can give homework to your students and you can arrange the deadline.

- You can do surveys to the students.

- Different groups can be assigned different assignments by dividing the class into different groups.

- You can quiz your students.

How It Is Used?

As a teacher firstly, you must open an account. Then you can add your students to your class by creating a class. To create a class, you must click Create Class from the Classes section on the left side of the page while on the home page. After that, in order to add students to the class, enter the class you created from the left menu. While in class, you can announce an announcement to your students under the Posts menu, do a survey, do a quiz or assign homework.

Strategies to Use Edmodo Effectively

1. Schedule class posts in advance to take control of your schedule. It will make classroom management much easier.

2. Always stay in touch with your students and their parents.

3. Take learning beyond the class.
